There are loads of Bluetooth speakers to choose from -- and I test many of them here at CNET -- but Anker's Soundcore Boom 2 stands out for offering really good bang for your buck, which is why I awarded it an Editors' Choice last year. Compared to the competition, this mini boom box speaker is actually a good deal at its list of $130, but it becomes a real bargain when it goes on sale, like it is now for Amazon's Big Spring Sale event. At $99, it's close to matching its lowest price to date.

When Apple released its pricey "new' AirPods Max with USB-C last fall, I asked whether the headphones would feature USB-C audio and get an optional USB-C to 3.5mm cable for a wired connection to devices with a headphone jack. I didn't get a response from Apple, but neither feature was available at launch, which seemed... odd. Now, Apple says both features are coming to the AirPods Max (with USB-C) as part of a firmware upgrade in April.
