Veteran college players were the flavor of the second round, as several former NCAA stars heard their names called. Three players selected in the 30s were CBS Sports All-Americans in 2025, including Creighton's Ryan Kalkbrenner (No. 34 to Charlotte), Auburn's Johni Broome (No. 35 to Philadelphia) and Kam Jones (No. 38 to Indiana).

Duke topped the charts on Wednesday night with the most players picked from any college during the first round of the 2025 NBA Draft. All three Blue Devils who were selected came off the board within the first 10 picks, headlined by No. 1 overall selection Cooper Flagg. Flagg's selection earned the ACC some bragging rights, as it became just the sixth time ever that a single conference has produced both the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft and NBA Draft in the same year.
