    Last week, while touring South Africa, I was able to visit the Bo-Kaap neighborhood in Cape Town. It’s a neighborhood on the slopes of Signal Hill known the world over because of the pictures of its wildly-colored homes. The colorful homes are a nice touch, but there is so much more under the surface to appreciate there, so much that it’s hard to sum it up in a few words. The history goes way back.

    In a little more than a week I’ll be heading to South Africa to attend Africa’s Travel Indaba, which will be held May 13-15 at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre in Durban, South Africa. It’s a travel trade show of Africa that has roots going back into the late ‘70s and has grown into one of the biggest, liveliest travel trade shows in the world.
