CNNThe Food and Drug Administration said a recall of organic eggs sold at Costco is now classified at the highest risk level for potential salmonella contamination. The upgraded level means there is “a reasonable probability” that a recalled product “will cause serious adverse health consequences or death.”It comes about one month after New York-based Handsome Brook Farms voluntarily recalled nearly 11,000 of the eggs.

The FDA said 100 people across 24 states were infected with the salmonella strain linked to the cucumber outbreak. When the FDA said the outbreak had sickened 19 states. No deaths have been reported the FDA said. Arizona company SunFed Produce recalled cucumbers sold October 12 through November 26 in more than two dozen statesincluding at some Walmart, Wegmans, and Albertsons stores. Costco and Kroger also recently notified customers they soldsome of the recalled cucumbers.
