We’re expecting a more widespread round of frost tonight and into Friday morning. This time, frost is more likely to form farther south and east. This includes the Fox Valley and towards the lakeshore. Anyone who’s already done some spring planting may want to take precautions. After that chilly morning, warmer weather should return to the area. High pressure nosing in from the north will give us a sunny Friday across northeast Wisconsin.

This summer the Fallon community will say goodbye to Kim Jung, one of the community’s most esteemed, longtime educators. Jung has been a teacher for 28 years, dedicating 25 of those years to local Classical Christian schools. She also spent three years teaching in Lander County at the secondary level and four years homeschooling, but the majority of her educational career has been devoted to teaching kindergarteners.

The first batch of steady, widespread rain is working east of the area this evening. Spotty showers remain possible anywhere and a round of late-night storms should track in from the west. While severe weather is not expected, rain will be heavy in spots. Temperatures will hold steady in the upper 60s tonight, given the higher humidity. Most of us will be dry Friday morning; you might even see some sunshine peeking through the clouds. Temperatures will rise quickly with highs near 80 degrees.

Lows should range from the mid 50s into the lower 60s overnight and some patchy fog could develop late. Outside of that it will be a quiet night with mainly clear skies. Look for a very warm day for golfers at the U.S. Venture Open. Highs will be back in the middle 80s with mostly sunny. A stray storm or shower is possible but odds are 10% or less... the more likely rain chance arrives Thursday with our next weathermaker.
