Life and Trust, an immersive follow up to Sleep No More from the producing team Emursive, closed abruptly on April 19 after beginning performances in the summer of 2024. The show took place at the purpose-created “Conwell Tower,” located at 69 Beaver Street in New York’s Financial District. No official reasoning was provided for the show’s sudden closure; a brief statement was issued on the production’s website after tickets were mysteriously refunded over the weekend.

A TLC jukebox musical and new versions of Damn Yankees and Pal Joey are on tap for the 75th anniversary season at Arena Stage. Damn Yankees, with book by George Abbott and Douglass Wallop and score by Richard Adler and Jerry Ross, will run September 9-November 9. This new production, directed and choreographed by Sergio Trujillo, will feature a “gently retooled” script by Will Power and Doug Wright, with additional lyrics by Lynn Ahrens. Rodgers and Hart’s Pal Joey will run January 30-March 15.

A new Broadway production of Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot will star Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter this autumn, with dates now revealed. Jamie Lloyd will direct the dark comedy, with Reeves making his Broadway debut playing Estragon and Winter playing Vladimir. Reeves and Winter have a friendship that spans 35 years and began during the filming of the 1989 classic comedy . The production will begin performances at the Hudson Theatre from 13 September 2025 and play until 4 January 2026.

Leslie Odom Jr. will return to the role of Aaron Burr in the Broadway production of Hamilton for a limited run at the Richard Rodgers Theatre, September 29-November 3. Odom earned a Tony Award for his performance when the show opened; his return coincides with the Broadway production’s milestone 10th anniversary. Based on the Ron Chernow biography of America’s first Treasury Secretary, Hamilton features book, music, and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda.
