Peruvian authorities have set the first fishing season for anchovies in the North-central region, starting on 22 April, 2025, with a total quota of 3 million metric tonnes. The quota was determined following an assessment of anchovy biomass conducted by Peru’s scientific institute, IMARPE. A further analysis of the biomass will take place during the Eureka operation, scheduled from the 19 to 21 of April.
