I firmly agree with most of the letters in the Sunday paper regarding our malignant president, but it comes down to this; the difference between being tough and being strong. A "tough" minded person tries to hide his insecurities behind a persona of blame-games and lies. Such a person is not in touch with his real self. He is easily insulted and does not negotiate with others unless they exalt him. He does not belong in government.

Somehow, I'm still wondering (after 3 days) if I am the only reader who sees the light regarding the letter "America's Foundation" in Monday's edition of the Star. At first I thought the perpetual letter writer was really sincere this time, but after thinking it over, I realized I am not the only one who is so disappointed that the Star dropped the comic strip Pearls Before Swine. So now I get it ... he knows this breach of information is very serious. But he's filling in for Stephan Pastis.

In times like these, I'm sure we all agree that we obviously need a strong leader. But what is not so obvious is, who has the stronger personality? Just a reminder to those who may still be on the fence: A person who has high self-esteem does not waste his time disparaging others. He is not easily insulted so he has no need to insult others. He does not speak falsely of others. He has no need to bring others down. A strong personality is willing and able to take advice from, and work with others.

On September 24 at a rally in Pennsylvania, Trump stated that "It should be illegal to criticize the Supreme Court."And "Those who criticize judges should be tossed in jail."So if he is returned to the White House, how long before he says, "Those who criticize the Executive shall be tossed in jail for a period not to exceed 10 years, or the end of my dictatorship ... whichever comes first."Do I really think that could happen?
