A Hyde Park coffee spot will get a new lease on life later this spring. 1888 Coffee is planning a May 24 opening in the former Mother Earth Coffee space at 3504 Gillham Road. After Mother Earth Coffee closed in March, Chrissy and Robert Kehoe, who live in the neighborhood, reached out to Mother Earth's owner Joe Parisi to see if there was an opportunity to carry on the coffee shop's legacy. Razzleberry has closed after four years on the Country Club Plaza. The boutique opened in 2021 at 421 W. 47th St. after relocating from downtown Overland Park, where it had been since 2017. "The Plaza has changed - new ownership, slower foot traffic, fewer small businesses - but we're moving forward with full hearts," owner Amy Bringenberg said on Instagram. The shop sells locally themed shirts, stickers, coasters, mugs, and other gifts.
