    Festivals are always a bit of a gamble. Lineups can shift, artists cancel (looking at you, D’Angelo), or worse? Your must-see acts end up performing at the same time. And then, of course, there’s the weather. Producers try their best to plan outdoor festivals when conditions are most likely to cooperate, but Mother Nature is as reliable as Morrissey when it comes to concerts. This year, she did her best to derail the Roots Picnic.

    Now in its 38th year, the annual Tibet House Benefit at Carnegie Hall has become a cherished event not only for the audience, but for the musicians on-stage, as well. Every year, an eclectic mix of artists from around the world come together to collaborate and forge lasting friendships, all in support of a noble cause: protecting and preserving Tibetan culture.

    Most people may know the Tile Works of Bucks County from a class trip or family outing with the kids, but how many of you knew it was a concert venue as well? If you love live music and supporting local musicians, you’ll be hard pressed finding a more magical venue in Bucks County. Joe Montone of Stage United, a nonprofit organization committed to bringing concerts to Bucks County venues, and Tile Works collaborated to bring the history of Bucks County and Bucks County musicians together.

    By now it is very clear that the path to victory is through Pennsylvania. Hillary Clinton lost the state by 44,292 votes in 2016, but the democrats rebounded and Biden won the state by 81,660 votes. Residents have been bombarded with commercials, mailers, and canvassers knocking doors as each candidate is putting extra effort for each and every vote.  One upside to all of this attention is that Harris and her surrogates have been in town for rally after rally.

    It was a beautiful day in Washington Crossing, but Vice President Kamala Harris warned the crowd of about 400 that there will be difficult days ahead for the country if Donald Trump were to be reelected. In a rare display of bipartisan unity, Harris was joined by more than a dozen current and former Republican officials, signaling that this election was far from ordinary—and that the stakes were higher than many Americans realized.
