As discussed for some time, the Radio Frequency Users Association of New Zealand (RFUANZ) has identified for some years that the telecommunications industry is rapidly moving towards a crisis in the availability of skilled radio technicians. Feedback from our members and the broader telecommunications community has been that the industry is crying out for a way to train new technicians for our industry.

Swan Reach broke through for its first win in the Omeo District league on Saturday since midway through last year when its season came crashing down with a major player points breach. It had four players with incorrect points allocations in all its early season wins and was stripped of premiership points from matches those players took the field in. Swan Reach went from top to bottom of the ladder and didn’t win another match. Former Lindenow South player Max Solomon starred for Swan Reach.

On 29 and 30 November, I was fortunate enough to attend the Jazan Investment Forum 2023, inaugurated by the Governor of the Jazan region, HRH Prince Mohammed Bin Nasser on behalf of Crown Prince and Prime Minister HRH Mohammed Bin Salman. Organized by the Jazan Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with the region's municipality and Jazan Region Development Strategic Office, the event drew together an impressive list of key governmental and private agencies.

In three of the last four years, South Carolina pulled a gigantic upset winning a game straight up when the Gamecocks were a 20 or more-point underdog. South Carolina was trying to the same thing again Saturday in Athens as it came in as a 28 point dog. The Gamecocks gave No.1 Georgia everything it wanted, but the Bulldogs used a strong second half to get the 24-14 come-from-behind win.

Top ranked Georgia scored 31 points in the second quarter en route to a 45-3 over Ball State Saturday afternoon at Sanford Stadium. Mekhi Mews’ 69-yard punt return for a touchdown with 14:32 left in the first half started the scoring for the Bulldogs, who have now won a school record 19 straight games. After Mews’ TD, the Bulldogs scored on their next four possessions to build a commanding 31 point halftime lead.
