1. IntroductionCOVID-19 typically results in a mild–moderate respiratory illness. However, patients with underlying conditions or certain predispositions typically face more severe illness, and oftentimes, hospitalization [1]. Even during the height of the SARS-CoV-2 (i.e., COVID-19) pandemic, cardiovascular disease (CVD) had a greater mortality than the COVID-19 virus [2].
