Boss Jake James guided his side to second place and promotion from Division Four of the Birmingham & District league with a game to spare and a Sunday side is now in the pipeline while the junior set-up is flourishing.     The Burghill, Tillington and Weobley (Image: Submitted) BURGHILL, Tillington and Weobley suffered their first defeat of their Worcestershire County League Division One campaign as they were beaten by 125 runs at Droitwich Spa. Winning the toss and bowling, the Burgs were always on the back foot. Openers Harry Butler (55) and Martyn Davis (37) saw off the shine on the new ball. This made life easier for the top and middle order.

After last week’s enthralling local fixture against Brockhampton, injuries and selection headaches meant skipper Ryan Trattell and the firsts were always in for a tough test against table-topping Bewdley. The day began with Trattell losing the toss and being sent into the field.
