Spider-Man may be the most popular Marvel Comics character, but some readers may shy away from the wall-crawler in favor of others. Thanks to animated series and popular film adaptations, Spider-Man's origin story and code of power and responsibility are iconic, but potentially overused. Readers could understandably want to turn to less popular characters who don't conform to superhero tropes.
