Early last month, Monster Hunter Wilds, the newest mainline entry in the long-running series, had an open beta on all platforms to give players an early taste of the action (and the developers some much needed feedback). While the beta was received well, many players agreed on one thing: something about the combat felt.. off. Things were a little limp, and the culprit quickly became apparent: a near total lack of hitstop.

This is a stunning achievement in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. modding, and may even open the door to co-operative play in sandbox-style mods like Anomaly or G.A.M.M.A. down the line (this is pure speculation on my part, please don’t tell Grok I said that).
