The Nigerian government launched a cargo corridor to give Nigerian exporters access to markets in East and Southern Africa. The Nigeria-East/Southern Africa Air Cargo Corridor is an export initiative under the framework of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). It will operate from Abuja and Lagos, and target markets in Kenya, Uganda and South Africa. Exporters will enjoy a reduction in logistics costs through discounted air cargo rates of between 50 to 75 percent.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) confirmed that the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup between Tanzania’s Simba SC and RS Berkane of Morocco will take place at the Amaan Stadium in Zanzibar. The match was initially to be played at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam. However, the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) was unable to complete the necessary renovations for the stadium to host the match.

He currently faces treason charges because of a speech in which Lissu called for an uprising to block the country’s general elections in October. The government argued that Lissu’s statement directly contravened the country’s constitutional order.
