Gulu City, Uganda: President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has issued a second Executive Order directing the immediate and indiscriminate eviction of all cattle belonging to Balaalo pastoralists from Northern Uganda, in a renewed bid to resolve escalating land conflicts and illegal grazing. The order, Executive Order No.2 of June 2025, was read on Wednesday by Brig. Gen. Felix Busizoori, Commander of the UPDF 4th Division, during a press briefing at the Division Barracks in Gulu.

Gulu, Uganda: Experts have warned Tier 4 financial institutions, including SACCOs and microfinance entities, against lending to enterprises that degrade the environment or inflict social harm, citing the urgent need to align grassroots finance with sustainable development goals. Gulu, (UG):- As February 22nd approaches, the family of Gulu City Woman Member of Parliament (MP), Hon. Betty Aol Ocan, reflects on a significant day; the remembrance of the loss of her beloved husband, Mr. Michael Ocan, famously known as Lapwony Ocan. Ocan, an educationist and philanthropist, passed away on February 22nd, 2017, at St. Mary’s Hospital Lacor due to heart failure. He was laid to rest at their ancestral home in Potika, Kitgum District.
