    A Nashua man was charged with driving under the influence and reckless operation after crashing early Sunday morning in Pelham. Harrison Pound, 24, crashed into a rock wall and tree near 563 Mammoth Road shortly after midnight, Pelham police said in a news release. Pound was not injured, but his 2004 Acura TSX was heavily damaged. No one else was in the car. Pound is scheduled to be arraigned in Salem District Court at 8 a.m. Jan. 27.

    Jan. 14—A Maine man died Monday after he sideswiped a cement barrier, continued driving for another two miles, then stopped in a travel lane where his car was struck in quick succession by two vehicles on Interstate 95 in Portsmouth, police said. Martin Osier, 62, of Bremen, Maine, was driving south near Exit 7 of I-95 when his 2010 Toyota Camry drifted onto the left shoulder of the highway and hit a barrier, according to New Hampshire State Police.

    A Maine man was killed after he sideswiped a cement barrier but continued driving for another 2 miles and was then struck by two cars after stopping on Interstate 95 in Portsmouth on Monday, police said. Martin Osier, 62, of Bremen, Maine, was driving near Exit 7 of II-95 when his 2010 Toyota Camry drifted onto the left shoulder of the highway and hit a barrier before continuing south with at least one tire partially deflated, New Hampshire State Police said in a written news release.

    Jan. 12—Firefighters battled a blaze Sunday afternoon that destroyed a single-family home on Nichols Road in Peterborough. The sole occupant at the time was able to get out. No one was injured. Peterborough Fire and Rescue crews responded to the fire at 1:24 p.m. and found heavy fire from the breezeway when they arrived on the scene. A second alarm and additional crews were requested. The fire was under control by 2:05, fire officials said.
