2025 NHL Draft After a down year at the draft, Sweden offers a strong group of talent in the 2025 class. Anton Frondell, Victor Eklund, and Jacob Ihs-Wozniak could all hear their names called in the top 15. The first two are already well-established in that range, with Frondell cracking the top 10 on many lists. Ihs-Wozniak has slid further down, but considering his diverse skill set, he could climb back up with strong performances in front of the right evaluators.

NHL The Columbus Blue Jackets look to be parting ways with David Jiříček sooner rather than later, potentially putting an end to a tumultuous dance with their top prospect. The two parties could never seem to get on the same page. Jiříček appears to believe he belongs in the NHL.

Simon Edvinsson Late in the second period against the Anaheim Ducks, a close-range shot hit Simon Edvinsson’s knee, sending him to the ice. Struggling, he got back up, blocked another shot, and managed to get his stick on the puck. He helped clear the zone before leaving the ice. Injured, Edvinsson missed the third period. Detroit led 3–2 at the time and had outshot the Ducks. They went on to lose 6–4.
