Under the current zoning laws, if this ordinance is approved, a drive-thru dispensary could also be allowed at that site, according to Mayor Nelson at the Planning Committee meeting on February 4.

Optimists have been honoring outstanding young people from Dunn County’s four high schools for over 30 years. Throughout her high school career, Kennedy has reached beyond a traditional high school curriculum, accumulating 15 college credits through distance learning and dual credit classes.

The Menomonie Optimist Club honored Carly Mohr of Elk Mound High School and Mason Yarrington of Colfax High School as the December Youth of the Month. Carly Mohr has been a good student, athlete and community citizen. A member of the National Honor Society at Elk Mound High School, she has also participated in Science Olympiad, Academic Decathlon and been part of the E Club. Carly has been a member of the school’s basketball, cross country and track teams.
