The following is the opinion and analysis of the writer:I understand how young persons can confuse Israel’s actions in Gaza with genocide. But they are wrong, and that accusation is very offensive. Israel was founded in the wake of the worst genocide in modern history — the Nazis’ extermination of approximately six million Jews (including members of my family). The pain of that genocide continues today.
