The Santa Fe Historical Foundation is completing renovations to the Camp Wallace Building on the site of the Santa Fe School Museum. An open house for the public to view and visit will be held 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 28. The school museum and the 1941 gym will also be open on this date. The Camp Wallace Building was obtained from the U.S. Government after World War II when the Camp Wallace Training Facility was closed.

What happened: The board unanimously voted to terminate the employment of public works department employee Collin Deihm effective immediately, the third termination within the department since March. Background: At the start of the year, the Conestoga public works department consisted of four employees: Supervisor/Roadmaster John Berry, Dave Jackson, Leroy Eshleman and Deihm.
