    GAITHERSBURG, MD β€” A Gaithersburg man was shot to death early Saturday in the 500 block of Newcomb Street, Southeast, according to the Metropolitan Police Department. Alex Alexander, 31, of Gaithersburg, was found suffering from gunshot wounds about 12:23 a.m. in the 500 block of Newcomb Street, Southeast, a police news release said. Officers at the scene reported Alexander was unconscious and not breathing. DC Fire and EMS found no signs of life, and Alexander was pronounced dead.
