    The all-India Chief Digital Officer (CDO) club doesn’t exist anymore. It was a short-lived initiative by the Internet and Mobile Association of India in 2016 to bring together a then-small cohort of digital leaders, about five or seven of them. By 2019, it had grown to 50 members, which doubled the following year as digital transformation became the buzzword for corporate India. Soon after, the club dissolved. Its job of giving legitimacy to this emerging role was now complete.
