    ABDUL Duke Fakir, the last surviving original member of the beloved Motown group the Four Tops, has died at 88. Fakir died today of heart failure with his wife and other loved ones by his side, said a family spokesperson. The Four Tops were among Motown's most popular and enduring acts, and peaked in the 1960s, said the Associated Press. Fakir was married twice and he had seven children. His marriage to Piper Gibson lasted 50 years.

    Several supermarket chains are withdrawing dozens of pre-packed sandwiches, wraps and salads from shelves after a potential E. coli outbreak left more than 200 people unwell. The E. coli bacteria has not been detected in the 45 products but they are are being recalled as a precaution, the manufacturer Greencore Group said. The products being recalled were sold at Sainsbury’s, Asda, Aldi, Morrisons, Co-op and Boots.

    A woman has been arrested in connection with the death of a baby more than 40 years ago. The 57-year-old suspect, who was arrested on suspicion of murder in Northampton on Tuesday morning, was taken to a location in the county for questioning by detectives, Northamptonshire police said. The woman’s arrest is related to the discovery of a body of a newborn baby girl in the town in May 1982, the force added on Thursday.
