Aurora is well represented at the Artist Project in Toronto this weekend. Aurora artists Vicki Carruthers and Arwynn Davis are among more than 250 independent artists from across the country participating in the May 8 to 11 event at the Better Living Centre featuring thousands of artwork, large-scale installations, and curator-led art tours. Carruthers is renowned for her vibrant and boldly coloured paintings featuring magnificent Georgina Bay panorama.

Charity Midway in Support of Easter Seals Kids, to May 11: The annual charity midway features family-friendly rides and games, with all proceeds supporting Easter Seals Ontario’s vital programs, such as summer camps and funding for mobility and accessibility equipment for children and youth with physical disabilities, and Southlake Health. At Upper Canada Mall's southwest parking lot Friday 4 to 10 p.m., Saturday noon to 11 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can purchase wristbands here.
