It’s June and readers’ fancies turn to fantasy and sports. “Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil,” a lesbian, vampire romance by prolific American author V.E. With a title like “Trainwreck: Mayor of Mayhem,” you wouldn’t expect a Netflix documentary about late Toronto mayor Rob Ford to be complimentary — the unflattering cover photo that shows a ruddy-faced, open-mouthed Ford surrounded by microphones sets the tone. I have long been an admirer of the talented Christina Jennings at @_Shaftesbury Pleased to see she’s being honoured by the Hollywood Reporter Women in Entertainment Canada awards.

Me too! It was magic.

One of the most emotional performances I’ve ever attended. The final performance of @Mirvish COME FROM AWAY. Cast waving Canadian flags. Producer and creators take bows. We were there…. for this unbelievable moment. https://t.co/Awyv0cGVbA

Totally agree!

Amazing news. CBC has renewed the fabulous sitcom NORTH OF NORTH. Great show. A very funky concept!
