A promise of the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act — the first major federal gun safety law in almost 30 years — was to further protect American lives by ensuring that those who should be licensed as firearms dealers are, in fact, licensed. Under longstanding federal law, licensed dealers must run background checks — and background checks help keep guns out of the hands of individuals prohibited from having them, including felons and domestic abusers.

To the editor:1. I feel sorry for the people at the border, but I am worried about the U.S. We as Blacks worked as slaves to build this country with our free labor. 2. Now President Biden is bringing thousands of immigrants here to do jobs for money that we never got. If he is so sincere about them, what took him and others so long about giving us minimum wages? 3. Now I think the people that are coming will be willing to work for less.
