Americans are paying respects this week to former President Jimmy Carter, who died last month at age 100. Carter, the longest-living U.S. president, has been honored this week with memorial ceremonies in Georgia and the U.S. Capitol. He will be buried Thursday in his hometown of Plains, Georgia, after an official state funeral at the Washington National Cathedral.
