Hindenburg Research, the US investment research firm known for short-selling, which primarily targeted Indian billionaire Gautam Adani and created a flutter in the Indian political system by holding hostage the functioning of the Parliament for multiple sessions in last three years, has shut down its operations. Announcement of the closure by Hindenberg Research founder Nate Anderson, who started in 2017, came just days before Donald Trump’s inauguration as the new President of the United States.

New Delhi, Jan. 15 -- Peeved by the unwarranted comments on Lok Sabha elections by social media giant Mark Zuckerberg, the Parliamentary Committee is to summon representatives of the Meta during the next couple of days. In past also social media giants Facebook and the then Twitter, Amazon, Google were summoned by the Centre and Parliament committees on different issues including protection of data and its privacy and allegation over supporting a particular individual, group or party in elections.
