Bengaluru: The Karnataka government has reinforced its ban on smoking and the consumption of tobacco products within government offices and premises, warning that any employee found violating the policy will face disciplinary action. A circular issued by the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (DPAR) stated that despite existing regulations, there have been reports of tobacco use in government offices, including cigarettes, gutka, and paan masala.
