Leon Carl Howard III is currently wanted in connection to the incident on Ward Road in Lugoff. He is also wanted on seven additional, unrelated warrants that includes 5 burglaries, grand larceny, and receiving stolen goods.

Woman accused of stealing identity for employment

A Newberry County woman is accused of stealing an identity, according to SLED. Gloria Casarin-Dominguez, 29, is charged with identity fraud and forgery. Authorities say on April 25, 2022, Casarin-Dominguez used a Social Security number and a South Carolina ID to be employed at a job. The documents were fraudulently made using the victim's personal information, according to authorities. Casarin-Dominguez was arrested on June 17, and taken to the Newberry County Detention Center.
Deputies investigating shooting in Richland County

The Richland County Sheriff's Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on Wednesday. Authorities say the shooting occurred just before 4 p.m. in the 1600 block of Horseshoe Drive. Upon arrival, deputies found a victim with gunshot wounds, according to authorities. Authorities say deputies secured the scene and waited for EMS to arrive and take the victim to the hospital. Deputies found out that the suspect left the scene before they arrived. Deputies are still on scene at this time.

A man has been denied bond after being accused of shooting two people on Sunday, according to the Sumter County Sheriff's Office. Mark McCoy, 62, is charged with attempted murder and assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature. He was denied bond and remains in custody at the Sumter County Detention Center. ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WACH) — SLED is asking for help in a fatal shooting case from a Memorial Day party in Orangeburg County on May 26, 2020. Three men were killed and five others were injured in the early morning hours. Authorities say Austin Lee Benjamin, 17, Altonio Jayquan Smith, 19, and Malik Kevon Glover, 24, died from their injuries. The shooting happened at a large party on the 1100 block of Dibble Street in Bowman.
