Liz’s Place, the singular coffee shop on Barnard’s campus, might serve the most reliable creek water one will ever find. In fact, upon first taste, one might even wonder if it actually is creek water (it’s that good!). And still, students flock to Liz’s at the prime time of 9:30 am, waiting in the wrapped-around line to swipe for their creek waters, personalized with a dollop of caramel or vanilla.

A tale of love, forgiveness, and the return of the gluten-free brownies in the Ferris fridge. Dear Ferris,I forgive you, I’m sorry. I let it happen. I took the risk last week after dinner because I felt good about you, and I checked the fridge. I checked the fridge and you had them… you had the gluten-free brownies! I knew it. I know you. It was a tough love before you restocked the fridge, but we’re on good terms now. The brownies were different though.

Where Have All The Brownies Gone? I am in the small percentage of people who love Ferris. To be fair, my love for it was not a “love at first sight” kind of love. Ferris and I had a rocky relationship at first and I did not understand the appeal. But as I came to learn about the salad bars and how to take advantage of them, my love for Ferris blossomed. It became my go-to dining hall. We were inseparable. My friends knew that my vote on dining hall would always be Ferris.
