Rising housing costs, limited shelter capacity, and decreased federal funding are worsening the homelessness challenges across the Greater Lansing area. However, local nonprofits, community organizations, and city programs are stepping up to prevent and address housing insecurity. Yet, many remain concerned whether these resources will be enough to meet the growing demand.
