The Cavaliers won game one, 2-0, Wednesday afternoon and punched their ticket to round two with a 2-0 victory over the Wolverines Thursday at Mike Miley. Starting pitcher Cam Fisackerly pitched a complete game shutout, with nine strikeouts and only four hits allowed. The Cavaliers now look ahead to a second-round series with top-seeded Parkview Baptist.

NEW ORLEANS — The injuries continue to pile up for the New Orleans Pelicans who announced Friday that Herb Jones is out indefinitely with a shoulder injury. According to a release from the team, “Herb Jones has been diagnosed with a posterior labrum tear in his right shoulder. An MRI taken yesterday confirmed the injury.”The injury occurred in the second half of Wednesday’s 119-100 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers.
