    Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court, Abuja, on Tuesday, remanded alleged whistleblower, Isaac Tamunobifiri Bristol, also known as PIDOM, in Kuje Correctional facility. PIDOM, who has spent 28 days in detention, was finally arraigned on a nine-count charge of unlawfully obtaining and distributing government classified documents, Cybercrimes and destruction of evidence, brought against him by the Federal Government.

    Businessman, Aliko Dangote, has revealed that petrol produced from his 650,000 barrels per day facility will hit the filling stations in the next 48 hours as modalities with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited are formalised. Dangote said this on Tuesday during a press briefing announcing the formal production of petrol at the Refinery. "Our PMS (Premium Motor Spirit) can be in filling stations within the next 48 hours depending on NNPCL," he said.

    AFTER over a year of its launch in May 2023, Dangote Refinery, on Tuesday, rolled out its first Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, from its 650,000 barrels per day facility. At a press conference, owner of the Lagos-based refinery and billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote declared that "it's a celebration day" for Nigerians. He assured all citizens that they "are now going to have good petrol while the engines of your vehicles will last longer.

    A Chinese artist, Gao Zhen, known for his provocative sculptures, has been detained by authorities in Hebei province, for creating sculptures deemed "insulting" to "revolutionary heroes and martyrs" and to the legacy of Mao Zedong and his regime, founder of the People's Republic of China. The artist's brother, Gao Qiang, stated in a post on Facebook that he was arrested on August 30 while he was visiting family in China after emigrating to the United States two years ago.
