June 20, 1789: Members of the French Third Estate take the Tennis Court Oath, in which they pledged not to dissolve under royal pressure. I can certainly believe that some of the underlying facts are true, but the absolutely batshit way this piece is written makes it sound like a press release from the IDF Make a Wish Command. Just absurd that ostensibly straight news reporting gets framed like this.
