It’s bad enough that Arkansas has to travel to Ole Miss, Tennessee, LSU and Texas this upcoming season. Not to mention that Notre Dame is making its first ever trip to Fayetteville on Sept. 27. The real hazards, however, are the ‘toss-up’ games that have a way of triggering cardiac arrests. That certainly doesn’t apply to the Razorbacks’ season opener vs Alabama A&M on Aug. 30. They should be able to win that one with one arm tied behind their backs.

Arkansas had its chances on Saturday night in a nationally televised tussle with then-No. 3 Alabama, but ultimately couldn’t prevail in a 85-81 defeat. A win would’ve been the first over the Crimson Tide since 2021, as Nate Oats’ squad has now won five straight over the Razorbacks. Alabama will travel to Texas on Tuesday night before returning home Saturday to face in-state rival and No. 1 Auburn in front of ESPN College GameDay cameras.
