The sale is part of LG Display’s larger strategy of reallocating resources to focus on its OLED business. Located in Guangzhou, China, the factory was purchased by TCL for approximately $1.5 billion.

Toshiba is looking to let analog enthusiasts take their vinyl with them with the introduction of the Aurex AX-RP10 record player. Designed with portability in mind, the AX-RP10 carries a small footprint while still playing full-size records. It can be used wirelessly thanks to its built-in battery (rechargeable via USB-C) that Toshiba says lasts up to 10 hours on a full charge, and it even comes with a shoulder-strap carrying case for travel.

PSNI Global Alliance has announced the launch of a new Quality Assurance Certification (QAC), designed to empower its network of Certified Solution Providers (CSPs) with quality assurance knowledge and ensure a high standard in AV projects. PSNI says that the new program was developed in collaboration with a committee of quality leaders from PSNI’s CSP companies worldwide and AQAV (Association for Quality in Audio-Visual Technology).

Scientists at Spain’s Public University of Navarra have created the world’s first 3D holographic display that users can directly interact with. Looking like something out of a sci-fi film, the ‘FlexiVol’ is able to be touched by a user, who can then pinch, stretch, and rotate images with their fingers. The trick is the FlexiVol’s innovation of replacing a traditional diffuser material with elastic bands, which can be safely interacted with.
