As an 80s teen who hated most of the pumped-up, jingoistic &, in many cases, thoroughly moronic movie fare at the time, I found 'Blue Velvet' to be SUCH a breath of fresh, delightfully weird air. It was both funny & creepy, as would be the case with a lot of Lynch's later work.

Well, that was fun. Browns rushed 3 on the final play and then sent a late blitzer, which was smart, altho they risked a roughing penalty, b/c it looked like Russ got smoked as he threw the ball.
