The Spirit in the Bluegrass Music Fest is back at the Kentucky Horse Park!This year’s show will mark the third bluegrass festival at Kentucky Horse Park since the Festival of the Bluegrass was canceled during COVID. This year’s lineup includes The Creekers, The Steeldrivers, and The Wood Box Heroes.

Swahili is the third most spoken language in Lexington. The 4th Annual Swahili Day features African music, vendors, drums, and cuisine, as well as a cultural fashion show and a kids’ zone. The free festival put on by the Marafiki Center is taking place at Bluegrass Community and Technical College’s Newtown campus.

    LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - In January, we told you about an investigation into reports of foster care children sleeping in office buildings. The report, coming back to State Auditor Allison Ball, was concerning. 49 children spent a combined 198 days in a Department of Community-Based Services office building. A local social services office is now calling on you to become a part of the change. According to the Cabinet for Health and Family Services, there are over 8,600 kids in foster care in Kentucky.
