1. Introduction 1.1. Historic Building Information ModellingBuilding Information Modelling (BIM) is a standardised procedure (ISO 19650) [1] developed by the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry for the digital management of assets. BIM is the process of creating an intelligent 3D model of an asset which also contains extra information about ‘objects’ within the asset.
