Denny Hamlin was eager for his son’s arrival and for being a father for the third time. He shares a lovely bond with his two daughters, Taylor and Molly, but Hamlin finally would have a partner in crime who understood his competitive spirit. “I am such a competitive person, right? Like, my kids [daughters] aren’t into sports that much. That’s fine.

Last weekend, Shane van Gisbergen triumphed in Mexico City to book his NASCAR Cup Series playoff berth. On one hand, he put on a masterful display at the road course and fully deserved the win, but this win ignited a fierce playoff debate. The NASCAR Playoff system has long been a divisive topic, largely thanks to the ‘Win and You’re in’ formula. Take Joey Logano’s 2024 campaign as a fine example.

Alex Bowman could’ve missed the Mexico City race because of the lower back pain he was suffering from after that hard crash in Michigan. He was sore after the crash, “I don’t know if on paper that’s the biggest hit I’ve ever taken, but it’s the most painful one I’ve taken for sure. Even compared to when I broke my back, it’s way more pain than that was.” But with a playoff spot at stake, Bowman braved the pain to make that trip, and looking at the results, he will be glad he made this call.

NASCAR is still coming off the high of hosting its first international race. While they had to navigate the logistical snags and bumps, overall, it was a successful event. Two international drivers swept the weekend. Homeboy, Daniel Suarez won the Xfinity Series event, whereas Shane van Gisbergen once again snagged the inaugural race win, after his Chicago triumph in the Cup Series. Now, there might be doubts and queries about NASCAR returning to Mexico in 2026.

Earlier, Shane van Gisbergen dominated the proceedings at the inaugural Mexico NASCAR Cup race. With this, he stamped his authority and sealed his Playoff berth. The event was far from straightforward, as the heavens opened early in the race and claimed a few victims. Among them was Kyle Busch, whose car spun and went bowling, knocking out multiple cars. Others also began to slip and slide as they tried to navigate the treacherous conditions.

Yup... Saw this coming a mile away. My sympathies to the poor fools who deluded themselves into thinking the car will be blue and white. I mean, have we not learned from the last 3 times Ferrari teased different overalls, only for the car livery to not change much?

Honestly, I'm happy for him. All I'm concerned about is how the narrative is gonna be very different. Assuming that James, Sirius, Remus and Peter are played by white actors, Snape's Worst Memory is gonna have some awkward implications

My sincerest sympathies to every F1 commentator who will now have to differentiate between Red Bull and Racing Bulls in Suzuka
