Earlier, NASCAR dropped a massive announcement that Homestead-Miami would return as the season finale. The announcement itself was pretty memorable because of the nostalgia factor. In a nutshell, the scene is set after the 2019 NASCAR Cup season, and Kyle Busch was just crowned the champion. As he was celebrating his second Cup title, Brad Keselowski walked up to him with an interesting proposition. The driver unveiled a DeLorean DMC car, made famous by the Back to the Future movies.

On Sunday, Corey Heim made his 4th career start in the NASCAR Cup Series for the Michael Jordan-run 23XI Racing. Along the way, he romped to his career-best finish of 13th at the Kansas Speedway. What made things even sweeter was that he was the best of the 23XI Racing drivers. Tyler Reddick was the closest teammate in 17th, fellow rookie Riley Herbst was down in 27th, and Bubba Wallace ended with a DNF. Frankly, it was an impressive run from Heim in the #67 Toyota.

Carson Hocevar, who was just a rookie one year ago, has now taken the role of being the polarizing figure in the NASCAR Cup Series garage. He is yet to reveal his true personality with the mic in his hand like Denny Hamlin, but make no mistake, he doesn’t mind ruffling a few feathers on the track with his racing.

In NASCAR, one term that seems to pop up ever so often is SMT. For the uninitiated, SMT stands for Sports MEDIA Technology, and its purpose is to provide data to NASCAR teams and broadcasters. However, this has been a bit of a divisive topic among race fans in the NASCAR community. This is because, since 2018, all Cup teams have access to data from their competitors. In other words, just about anyone can access live timing, scoring and telemetry. So why is it so divisive?

If we are to compare brothers Kyle Busch and Kurt Busch purely based on numbers, the younger one would come out on top. He outscored Kurt in every facet of NASCAR racing, be it championships, race wins, top fives, you name it. Make no mistake, when both brothers put their helmets on Sunday, they were only focused on the checkered flags, and this competitive nature sparked one of the fiercest NASCAR rivalries.

Yup... Saw this coming a mile away. My sympathies to the poor fools who deluded themselves into thinking the car will be blue and white. I mean, have we not learned from the last 3 times Ferrari teased different overalls, only for the car livery to not change much?

A new look for Miami! 🔵⚪️ https://t.co/K1KCwaRrw2

Honestly, I'm happy for him. All I'm concerned about is how the narrative is gonna be very different. Assuming that James, Sirius, Remus and Peter are played by white actors, Snape's Worst Memory is gonna have some awkward implications

My sincerest sympathies to every F1 commentator who will now have to differentiate between Red Bull and Racing Bulls in Suzuka

ICYMI: The bulls are going white in Japan…😬😬😬 #F1 #JapaneseGP https://t.co/yAnz13i8TV
