    Popular Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has undergone surgery and is out of danger after he was stabbed by an intruder in his home overnight, his team has said. The attack took place early on Thursday morning in an upscale neighbourhood in the Indian city of Mumbai, where Khan lives with his family. City police said that the actor was injured after a scuffle broke out between him and an unidentified man who entered his house sometime after midnight.

Deliveries will therefore jump 256% compared to the 3.4m DWT delivered in 2024. At the same time, deliveries will reach a 16-year high and the second highest on record,” says Niels Rasmussen, Chief Shipping Analyst at BIMCO. The increase in deliveries follows an increase in contracting of new ships during 2023 and 2024.

    Palestinians in Gaza have been celebrating the news of a ceasefire and hostage release deal reached between Israel and Hamas. The ceasefire which is intended to mark the end of 15 months of war is due to begin on 19th January. The US President Joe Biden confirmed agreement had been reached for a full and complete ceasefire, the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza and the release of all the hostages held by Hamas. 94 hostages are believed to be held by Hamas of whom 34 are presumed to be dead.

    Israel and Hamas have agreed a Gaza ceasefire and hostage release deal following 15 months of war. The agreement would come into effect on Sunday so long as it was approved by the Israeli cabinet, Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani said.
