I've traveled across the US several times on various Amtrak trains. My train experiences have been overwhelmingly positive, but I've encountered plenty of mishaps. I try to prepare for spotty cell reception, crowded train cars, and unscheduled delays. Over the past few years, I've done a lot of train travel.
