The West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC) case is one of the biggest recruitment scams, carried out under the watch of the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress government. The recruitments were made in 2016 for positions of Assistant Teachers for Classes 9-12 and non-teaching staff in Groups C and D. Written examinations, interviews/ personality tests were conducted as part of the initiative to fill the vacancies.

On Thursday (6th March), Christian evangelist groups held demonstrations against the implementation of the Arunachal Pradesh Freedom of Religion Act (APFRA) in the northeastern state. They were mobilised under the banner of the Arunachal Christian Forum (ACF) in Itanagar to protest against a law, meant to protect indigenous people in Arunachal Pradesh from predatory and deceitful conversions.

The nefarious mission has been dubbed ‘Operation Devil Hunt.’Yunus was tasked to lead Bangladesh following the undemocratic ouster of former Prime Minister and Awami League supremo, Sheikh Hasina. He was expected to take the Islamic Republic on the path of ‘democracy’ in the politically turbulent time.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) took a severe drubbing in the 2025 Delhi Vidhan Sabha election, losing its seat count from 62 in 2020 to just 22. The BJP emerged victorious and bagged 48 seats. The Congress party failed to win a single seat. Political pundits and controversial ‘journalists’ soon began claiming that had Congress entered into a political alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party, the latter would have ended close to the majority mark.
