(Bloomberg) — India has vowed to retaliate after gunmen killed at least 26 people, most of them tourists, in the restive Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir, making it one of the worst attacks on civilians in the South Asian nation in years. “The culprits of this dastardly terror attack will not be spared,” India’s Home Affairs Minister Amit Shah posted on social media platform X on Wednesday, along with pictures of him laying wreaths on the coffins of the victims.
