It is cooling off just slightly from Friday, with Saturday’s high reaching into the upper 70s. This cool-down will not stay long, with temperatures rising throughout the weekend. This weekend will be mostly dry with possible afternoon showers. Monday will be the warmest with highs jumping into the upper 80s due to an upper-level ridge and southwesterly wind at the surface. Precipitation is expected Tuesday and Wednesday, with temperatures decreasing Wednesday.

After a few days of May showers, today the sun will make an appearance. A few pop-up afternoon showers are still possible, but any accumulation will be light. Looking ahead to the weekend, a warm-up is in store. Temperatures will climb into the upper 70s by Friday, then into the lower 80s on Saturday and Sunday. The heat isn't expected to last too long though. Early next week, a cold front is expected to move through which will bring a chance of showers and thunderstorms.
