COMMENTARYAnd so, the question of space and separation rests with us. We like to think the walls are impenetrable, that life and death are hermetically separated, and that the living and the dead never need cross paths. But what if, in reality, that’s all they ever do? -Delphine Horvilleur, author of Living with Our Dead1Anderson Cooper is no stranger to grief.

Happy Birthday, Mom. First, a quick introduction. Thanks for reading The Free PsychiatristSubscribe for free to receive new posts and support my work. As I run through this gate, I am holding tight to the saddle and I’ll try not to get knocked off. I have thought about starting a Substack newsletter for a while now and —true confession here — I have not yet figured out what form I want this to take or what messages I might want to convey.

This post really needs no introduction. Dr. Miller disagreed with a lot in my introduction and Dr. Ostacher’s recent piece about seeking motives for senseless acts of violence. Obviously, we at Sensible Medicine love to post well-reasoned responses to our articles. This is a great one. Adam CifuSensible Medicine is a reader-supported publication. A KETAMINE JOURNALEveryone who comes to me for ketamine is struggling. Some patients feel quite depressed, others have had a good response to medications but still they feel stuck, with residual symptoms and an inability to move forward. Everyone has tried a variety of medications—I have set that as a condition of treatment—but everyone does not struggle in the same way. I had tried ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) with a single patient, followed by a ‘mini-group’ of 2 patients.

Some people are worriers, how wonderful it must be never to worry! Seems like there is a lot of it going around. My thoughts on @PsychTimes https://t.co/iyTY1KEpec

Everyone's worried. Really. https://t.co/iyTY1KDRoE
