ST. PETERSBURG - Will Moore never swam in the pool or jogged around the track in the old YMCA at 116 Fifth St. S. But the Mediterranean Revival-style building means a lot to him: Moore's grandfather and great-grandfather built the structure nearly a century ago. And while the space remains shuttered, Moore is on a mission to remember its legacy. The mustard-yellow structure, which opened in June 1927, has sat vacant for decades.

PETERSBURG - With a swirl of bright teal paint for whiskers, the artist known as Palehorse (real name Christopher Parks) filled in the face of a neon-orange tiger as part of his mural homage to Salvador Dali. He and 12 other muralists were invited by the world-famous museum in St. Petersburg to paint on the walls and express the influence that the surrealist had on them.
